Nona And Elnora's Baked Bread Pudding

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups Bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Melted Butter
  • Tear up bread and put flour over bread. Mix rest of the ingredients and pour over bread. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.

    SAUCE: 1 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar, 1Tbsp cornstarch-or flour, 1/4 stick butter, and 1 tbsp lemon or vanilla extract.

    Combine ingredients and cook untilthickened. Pour sauce over pudding to serve. Recipe may be doubled.

    You may use Cool Whip or Dream Whip instead of sauce.
