Breakfast, Cakes and Frostings

Any Fruit Coffee Cake

  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 cup Margarine, softened
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • TOPPING :
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/4 cup Margarine, softened
  • 1/4 cup Nuts, chopped
  • 1 can Favorite pie filling
  • For cake, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut in margarine until mixture is fine crumbs. Combine eggs, milk and vanilla. Add todry ingredients, mixing until well blended. Spread half of the crumbs into a greased 9X13 pan. Spread pie filling over batter, gently spread remaining batter over top. Combine topping ingredients until crumbly, sprinkle over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
