Berry Butter

  • 1 pint Blueberries
  • 1/2 cups Butter or margarine, softened
  • Put the berries in a small suacepan andheat gently just until they begin to release their juice--this goes quickly, sowatch carefully. Let cool. In a smallbowl, mix the cooled berries with the butter until fairly well combined. Pack into a sealed container and refrigerate. Let stand at room temperature briefly before serving, spread on hot biscuits or favorite sweet breads.
