Chocolate Sugar Cookies

  • 3 squares Unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 1 cup Butter or margarine
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • ~ Additional sugar

    • Microwave chocolate and butter in largebowl on high for 2 minutes, or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir sugar into chocolate mix until well blended. Stir in eggand vanilla until completely mixed. Mixin flour, soda and salt. Refrigerate 30minutes. Roll dough into 1 inch balls, roll into sugar, place on an ungreased cookie sheet, Do not flatten. Bake 375 for 8-10 minutes or until set.
