German Apple Pie

  • 1 (9 inch) Prepared pie crust
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 6 cups Apples, cooking, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • ~ Cool Whip or ice cream, opt
  • Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon; sprinkle 3 Tbl. into crust. Top with half the apples, Sprinkle with half the remaining mixture. Top with remaining apples and mixture. Pour cream over all. Bake at 450 for 10 minutes, reduce heat to 350; bake for 55-60 minutes, or until apples are tender.
