Apple Dapple Cake

  • 3 cups Flour
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 3 Eggs, beaten
  • 1 cups Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cups Apple juice
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 3 cups Apples, green, peeled, chopped
  • 1 cups Nuts, chopped
  • 1 cups Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cups Butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cups Whipping cream
  • In very large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, soda, and salt; make a well incenter and set aside. In a medium bowl,combine eggs, oil, apple juice, and vanilla, stir until well mixed. Stir in appled and nuts. Pour egg mixture into wellof dry ingredients.stirring just until moistened. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Bake 350 for 45-50 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. For sauce, in a small saucepan combine brown sugar, butter and cream. Cook and stir over meduim heat just untill bubbly and all of the sugar is dissolved, cool slightly. Serve sauce over cake slices. I usually doublesauce recipe. Store sauce in the refrigerator, warm for leftover cake.
