Caramel Topping Bars

  • 1 cups Margarine
  • 1 cups Brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 1 3/4 Quick Cooking Oatmeal
  • 2 bottles (16 oz) Carmel ice cream topping
  • 1 cups Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cups Nuts, chopped, if desired
  • In microwave melt margarine. Add brown sugar, flour, soda, and oatmeal. Mix well, put 3/4 of the mixture in a lightly greased 9X13 pan. Bake 350 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Warm carmel topping in microwave, pour over crust. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Sprinkle remaining topping over the top. Bake 15 additional minutes. Cool well before cutting.
