Swedish Butter Cookies

  • 1 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup
  • 2 cups Flour, all purpose
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda

    • Cream butter and sugar till smooth and creamy. Add maple syrup and blend well. Mix soda and flour together and add tocreamed mixture. Divide dough into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a 9" log. Place on baking sheet 3" apart (will spread out). Cut immediately upon removing from oven. Use a pizza cutter to cut into 1" strips. Dust with powder sugar. Bake at 300º for 25 minutes.
