Chala Masala
Cook rice. In large saucepan, saute onion, garlic, and ginger in 3 T olive oil; add a little water to keep from sticking. Add garam masala, cayenne, salt, pepper, & tomato sauce, stirring well. Add baking soda, garbanzos, water.
Simmer20-30 min. until onions and tomatoes are very soft. If desired, add raisins during last few min. Serve over rice.
