Rice Dishes

Herbed Rice Pilaf

  • 2 cups Long grain rice
  • 1/2 cup Onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce, dark
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano, dried
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme, dried
  • In a skillet, saute rice, celery and onion in butter until the rice is lightly browned and the vegetables are tender. Spoon into a greased 2-qt. casserole. Combine all remaining ingredients; pour over rice mixture. Cover and bake at 325° for 50 minutes or until the rice is done. Yield 8 servings.
