Sweet and Sour Garlic Ribs

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) Water
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) Cumin
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Oil
  • ~ Salt and pepper
  • 2 lbs (900 g) Beef ribs
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175 °C). In a saucepan, combine the first 8 ingredients. Meanwhile, in a skillet, heat oil, sauté beef ribs and season with salt and pepper. Place beef ribs in a baking dish, coat ribs with sauce and cook for 1 1/4 hours, stirring often.

    Yield: 4 servings
