Aunt Doll's Yeast Rolls

  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Water, cold
  • 3/4 cup Butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup Milk, scalded
  • 1/2 cup Water, hot to wrist but not burning
  • 2 packages Yeast
  • 6-7 cups Flour
  • Dissolve yeast in hot water for a few minutes. Add all ingredients and mix together. Add flour and knead until dough is satiny and blisters can be seen underthe skin.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight. Next day, knead and shape rolls. Place in greased pans. Let rise covered. Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes. Makes 8-10 doz.
