Green Tomato Mincemeat
Chop tomatoes, drain off the juice and measure the amount of juice. Put as much water as juice on the tomatoes and scald thoroughly. Drain off the liquid, add apples, sugar, raisins and suet to thetomatoes and cook until clear; then addsalt, vinegar, spices, and orange and cook until thick. Stir often as the mixture burns quickly. Bottle and store.
