French Pancakes
Sift flour with baking powder, salt andsugar. Put in a bowl and mix well. Add liquids and combine with a few swift strokes. The batter will be slightly lumpy. Lightly grease a hot pancake grittlewith a piece of bacon. Drop batter by spoonfuls. This makes a small, thin, crisp pancake. Serve with syrup, honey orjelly.
