Fruit Salad

  • 4 quarts Cut-up fruit
  • 1/2 pound Slivered almonds
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Orange juice
  • 2 (10 ounce) cartons Dessert whip
  • 4 tablespoons Sugar
  • Any combination of fresh, canned or frozen fruit may be used, but try to selectones with color contrast. Some suggestions are cherries (halved and pitted), pineapple (diced), orange sections, banana slices, apple slices (unpeeled), peachslices and strawberries. Combine fruitwith nuts, tossing to blend well. Combine honey and fruit juices and pour overfruit mixture. Pour dessert whip into mixer. Attach beaters and mix on high speed until stiff, then beat in sugar. Fold whipped topping into fruit mixture and chill overnight.
