Butter Pound Cake
Cream butter thoroughly. Slowly add sugar. Cream until consistency of thick cream. Sift cake flour before measuring,resift with cream of tartar, and salt three times. Add 2 tablespoons of flour and 1 egg at a time in the mixer until all the flour and eggs are used. Add flavoring, mixing until thoroughly blended. Pour batter into two greased loaf panslined with heavy waxed paper. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
