Beer Hot Cakes or Waffles

  • 1/3 cup Cooking oil
  • 1/3 cup Beer
  • 2 well beaten Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 4 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • Combine cooking oil, beer, eggs, and milk. Sift dry ingredients. Put flour mixture in bowl. Add liquid, beating slowly. Cook on hot griddle and turn on other side when top shows bubbles, or cook in waffle iron.
