Traditional Hot Apple Cider

  • 1 1/2 cups Brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Allspice
  • 2 teaspoons Cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 5 Cinnamon stick
  • 4 quarts Apple cider
  • 1. Place spices in cheese cloth bag or use teaball. Simmer cider and sugar for 10 minutes, add salt and spice bag. Simmer for another 5 minutes.

    Sprinkle with nutmeg for serving.
