Easy Italian Casserole

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1/2 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 16 oz can Tomatos, diced, drained
  • 4 oz can Mushroom, sliced, drained
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar, granulated
  • 1/2 teaspoon Basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
  • {blank} Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 Eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • Preheat oven to 375°

    1. Cook ground beef, drain off fat. Add onion and garlic and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, mushrooms and spices. Heat until boiling. reduce heat , simmer 10 minutes.

    2. Grease bottom and sides of9x9 square pan.

    3. In a separate bowl; Blend Bisquick, milk& egg. Spread half of the batter mixture into the bottomof the pan, then the American cheese, then the meat. Drop remaining dough over top, sprinkle on parmesan cheese.

    Bake uncovered 20 minutes
